How To Clean A Moldy Baseball Glove

Cleaning a glove with mold/Drying a wet glove?

Okay so my brother left my softball bag in the back of my pick-up truck and it rained. I didnt know it was even in there so it stayed back there for a few days before I noticed. I pulled them out today and they are soaked and one has mold on it. Does anyone know the best way for me to get that off and dry them?

Im pretty sure they are both leather. Except for one is a little more "smooth" I guess is a good word, than the other. Then again, that could be because one is like 12 years old

You can try to remove the mold by

rinsing them in warm water, if not, soapy water.
Wash thoroughly and make sure it's at it's original shape and structure when drying it.
Let it dry naturally, do not put it near fire
Put on the gloves occasionally to keep it's shape while drying
After it's dried, apply some leather care product to preserve it's shelf life.

Yeah, make sure you dry it in a warm DRY area, next to a dehumidifier will help.

To get the mold off, use a rag with vinegar/water mixture to scrub, and try a magic eraser. Keep scrubbing, then let drive, then preserve it with saddle soap or a leather oil.

I would be careful with an abrasive like a magic eraser. Don't want to damage the leather.
